Three additional screenings dedicated to ‘Lottery’ at FFF

Iranian director Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian’s ‘Lottery’ receives three additional screenings at the Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

Iranian director Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian’s ‘Lottery’ has recieved three additional screenings at the Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

The additional screenings on Saturday night were held at Tehran’s Kourosh Cineplex, due to overwhelming popularity of the flick.

“Amirali and Nooshin want to get married but their families disagree. They decide to remain patient. They have dreams about winning US Foreign Ministry lottery for Green Card,” a short synopsis of the flick read.

To give his audience a mental image, Mahdavian says that his movie is about protective men. He explains how this theme is dominant in his new work. The protagonist of the movie is in pursuit of finding the right way and to do the right thing.

The Fajr Film Festival is Iran's annual event held every February on the anniversary of the Iranian Revolution.

Established in 1982, the festival displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

The 36th edition of the event kicked off on February 1, 2018 and is due to run until February 11.
